A town-wide trick and treat experience that proved to be an astounding success.

The event was designed as part of a plan to curate festivals around which town entrepreneurs can build out offerings. With such a huge uptake for year one, we expect this event to expand into one that town entrepreneurs will continue to thrive in for years to come.

The scale of the National Trust Walkabout isn't seen during any other event in the town but it was clear to me that people are hungry for town-wide events. Everyone falls for our old world charm and they seek to discover new corners and connect with old friends. In terms of economic impact, this is an event entrepreneurs spend months preparing for. A reliable event that allows us to build out new and exciting offerings to keep the experience fresh with each passing year. So, I started thinking about how St. George's could stake claim to other yearly events.

Fellow entrepreneurs and I had long discussed making Halloween weekend ours but something seemed to stand in the way every year. Despite facing some major health challenges in 2025, I just knew that we had to start somewhere. So with just 2.5 months to execute, I moved ahead.

Luckily, with a few key sponsors who were able to see the vision, The Trick & Treat was born. Admittedly, we were not prepared for the hurricane that would hit days before or the massive influx of people arriving last minute but, now we are!

With many St. George's businesses involved, children from Tomorrow's Voices and a number of underprivileged families sponsored, we're really proud of what was accomplished for our first major event.

We'll see you again next year - October 30th 2026!
